Every child and adult with a child inside wants an arcade in their home, right? Sure you do. At Snailworks.net, we will custom design, build and program your very own Arcade. With custom controls and 1000s of classic game titles available, your custom MAME Arcade will provide years of enjoyment.

What is MAME?

MAME is a software application designed to emulate the hardware of arcade game systems on modern personal computers and other platforms. The intention is to preserve gaming history by preventing vintage games from being lost or forgotten. Put together the MAME software, basic computer components, a custom cabinet, arcade controls, sound and a monitor and you have your very own Arcade machine.

How much does it cost?

The MAME software is actually free. It is an open source application package. The software and the actual game ROMs are public domain and free to use for personal use. Starting around $1200, Snailworks.net will design and build a fully functioning arcade cabinet with all of the hardware and controls to emulate the classic arcades of the 1980s and 1990s. Options include:

Complete multi-page static business website featuring the services of a grading and excavation contractor from Palm Beach county. The site included AJAX components, custom graphic design and mySQL-based backend. www.BriersBobcat.com, www.BriersExcavation.com and www.SeashellDriveways.com are all supported by this project.

Kid~Space LLC

A recent management project for this business' web sites. Our work has consisted page updates, graphic design and the creation of a set of Flash galleries. We have also performed a full re-coding of the entire site making it fully XHTML and CSS compliant and cross-browser compatible.

Westport Private School

A major record keeping CMS site allowing for parent-teachers and administrators to record and manage student records. The site is fully PHP-mySQL based in parallel with a custom WordPress interface. Proprietary PHP classes manage records, produce PDF documents and allow for full-site administration. The site is located at www.WestportPrivateSchool.org.

Smith Bros Anniversary

Complete showcase site to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this equipment dealership. Site includes Flash animations and menus, AJAX navigation, photo galleries, and a guest book. This site was active for 2 years and is now archived at www.SmithB.com/30web.

Other Work...

In addition to the web projects, Snailworks.net has also written a number of applications in C# for the .NET Environment. These include Windows programs for business marketing, inventory management , service quoting, and data interfaces. For hobbists, our work includes a device-to-web interface for the Peet Bros Ultimeter weather station and a NOAA XML-driven Weather Rock widget.
